They say I am funny,
she doesn't think so;
she needs a whole other
world of convincing
about my humor.
They say I am cheerful,
she doesn't believe it;
she needs to see for herself
what lengths I'd go for her
when she's unhappy.
Old school laughter
over inconsequential trivialities,
this life will be worth it
if she sees me for who I am.
If only there was a vine with leaves as footholds to climb up to the very sun and dim it's light a little bit, would things in our universe be any different?
